Emerald Waters
If you are looking to adventure into a wondrous scene that’s still relatively unknown to many tourists, Samar’s Sohoton Caves and Natural Bridge Park is where you’ll want to settle in for a unique journey and local flavor. This flourishing, vibrant jungle is ready to welcome you to its waterfalls, meandering rivers, and ancient caves.
Setting out with our guide on a boat cruise, we enjoyed the forest’s gentle, shaded canopy and stopped to greet locals who were also trekking on the river. Arriving at the entrance to Sohoton Cave we were greeted with festive Filipino music and dancing. Our guide engaged us in a tour that was not only informative, but also fun, and creative.
A delicious meal was waiting for us back on the boat. Then, it was time to kayak up the river, cut deep into limestone canyons and greet nature up-close. We journeyed underneath the magnificent stone, arched bridge on our way to a delightful swimming hole where we soaked in the beauty of this magical place.
